It all happens on the same day – today. It is the first day of the Telugu New Year, Ugadi (aka Yugadi) and it is also the first year birthday of Alaivani!
Some of you who have been following the site may wonder what is going on. The site’s official first post was on March 19, 2007. Some may wonder is this not more than a year? Wouldn’t the birthday be on March 19 and not April 7?
Yes and no! The great thing about having a birthday synchronized with an Indian calendar is that there are two birthdays!
Today’s post is dedicated to celebrating the one year birthday of Alaivani. In the celebrations, I must thank you, my loyal readers who encourage me to continue this site day after day and year after year, and to highlight some of the site’s growth stats to encourage you to look further into the site at some articles you may have missed or to revisit them again.
Before I share some of Alaivani's growth successes, I'd like to thank you, the browsers for your support and encouragement. I'd also like to thank my contributors, Baree, Ajoy, A. Nagarajan, Sudarshan K. Madabushi, Arun and Mahesh. Lastly, I'd like to thank those with blogs or sites that have linked back to Alaivani.com, including: Isaitamil.net | cs. princeton.edu | Shiva’s Arms | Krishnakumar.com | Hikanykumari.com | Lakshmi
