In the second video I present some cultural adjustment tips for going to school and college. These lessons are inspired by the by my own life abroad, your interesting path to a better life and self discovery here and the book Culturally Speaking.
What to learn in this video:
How to refer to (address) your teachers/professors.
How to greet your professors.
Question of time- when should you arrive to a class/meeting?
What does '101' or "one -oh- one" refer to?
How many students will be in your classes?
When will the teacher show up to class?
Start discussion on attendance, class participation, timeliness, class cancellations, etc.
These tips can be used for the general population also!
