Improve Your American Accent Podcast Button

There are 15 vowel sounds in American English. This podcast demonstrates the 'i' sound in American English. This is the short "i" sound.

In this podcast I answer:
1.  How do I make the short American vowel sound 'i' with my mouth, tongue, lips, etc?
2.  What are some words I can mimic to practice the 'i' sound?
3.  What happens if I mispronounce this sound? Will I say a different word or still be understood?

Grid with all 15 American vowels - the sound I am demonstrating in this podcast is labeled as #2 in that grid.
