Coming to America? Want to be able to have a leg-up by speaking more like a local before you come so you are understood a bit easier?

Learning English is not as simple as just speaking and understanding- but a bit finer tuning of how you hear and reproduce different sounds will help refine your accent to Americanize it. This is the second part in a four part series on matching word pairs that will help train your ear to hear different sounds in words that sound almost the same! Good luck!

Look below the podcast for the sentences for the fill in the blank exercises. E-mail me if you'd like the answers!

1. You need a ________.
2. You need a ________.
3. She ________ a lot.
4. She ________ a lot.
5. She’s ________ quickly.
6. She’s ________ quickly.
7. Is that his ________?
8. Is that his ________?
9. Give me my ________.
10. Give me my ________.
